Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma today attended the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at achieving overall development and utilization of potential in skill development, energy sector, tourism and hospitality sectors of the state. The agreements signed with Microsoft, Google India Pvt Ltd, L&T and Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) with Assam Skill Development Mission are important for skill development, infrastructure for employability, appropriate training and implementation of greenfield projects under the construction sector will play a role.
In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Info Edge (India) Limited, popularly known as Naukri.com with the Department of Employment and Technical Training. The agreement will provide an opportunity to attract employment providers through online means of promoting their profiles in digital media. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with SJVNL Green Energy Limited today to develop renewable energy projects. Another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Assam Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Ministry of Skill Development and Industrialization, Government of India and Tata Strive Skill Development of Tata Community Initiative Trust to develop a Center of Excellence to enhance efficiency in hospitality.
Hon'ble Cabinet Ministers Shri Jayant Mallabarua, Shri Nandita Garlocha and Shri Sanjay Kisan, senior officers of the State Government and others were present on the occasion.
